High Scardus Trail Stage 03 - Prevalla to Jazhinca Lake
Description
Set off on one of the most scenic stages of the High Scardus Trail, as we journey from the alpine village of Prevalla to the glacial beauty of Jazhinca Lake in the heart of the Sharr Mountains.
This full-day hike blends lush forests, mountain meadows, and panoramic ridgelines with the reward of reaching one of Kosovo’s most enchanting high-altitude lakes. Along the way, hikers experience the diversity and charm of the Sharr National Park — from wildflowers and pine forests to sweeping views of rugged peaks and deep valleys.
The highlight of the day is Jazhinca Lake, a heart-shaped glacial jewel resting at 2,180 meters above sea level, framed by the towering slopes of Peskovi Peak and its surrounding ridges. Its crystal-clear waters and untouched alpine setting make it the perfect spot to rest, reflect, and enjoy a mountain picnic before the return.
